Managing Chef, Gerben Hartskeerl
Gerben Hartskeerl was born and raised in the Netherlands, where his passion for hospitality began as a simple hobby and evolved into a lifelong career. After completing his education in gastronomy and hospitality, he set out to explore the world, gathering experiences and honing his craft along the way.
In the 1990s, Gerben owned and operated his own restaurant in Bonaire, Dutch Antilles, for a decade, where he developed his culinary expertise. He later returned to the Netherlands for six years, working as an all-around hospitality manager while his daughter attended school.
Gerben’s adventurous spirit continued to guide him as he traveled through Mexico and Colombia, managing various hotels for friends along the way. Eventually, he found a new home on a beautiful, nature-rich island, where he now serves as the Managing Chef of Tesoro Resort.
